This instrument is used primarily with the Old Time steel bands played while suspended around one's neck. It is used as an accompany instrument. They have become very popular throughout the world in bands comprising of four players: One single tenor, one single seconds, one single guitar, a single bass, and a drummer; the pans are played while suspended on stands.
